To ggalen. Isn't it excellent that you have the freedom of speech to voice your displeasure. That is, by the way, a freedom afforded to each and every American.... such as Natalie Mains! And, apparently, one of the freedoms currently being defended. Democracy is strongest when people don't have to fear voicing their opinions or objections.In any event, you don't have to log on to their songs to post things. In fact, you could probably watch something else which you actually might like.

Freedom of Speech doesn't mean freedom of speech for entertainers to say anything they want (especially if it is a continuous bashing of others that got worse as their fame grew, like Natalie Maines) and no freedom of dissent by those that disagree with her bashing. Freedom of speech isn't freedom of consequences. If Hobbs gets tried and acquitted, she'll be paying for opening her mouth AGAIN. Only one person ever told her to shut up, and that person can't even be identified. Hmm. She's gone.

No boycott. Piss your fans off, and they don't want to hear you anymore. Ice-T doesn't get airplay on some radio stations because he sings violent racist anarchist songs (if you can call them that). SHe's Ice-T now. Some find her unsuitable for public consumption.

fantastic!im a total dixie chicks fan and i think its appalling that a country that speaks of freedom and democracy punished these women for speaking their mind. unbelievable hypocrisy.
