Cencic had an amazing technique and range; however, his tone was rather hard-edged, which is ironic; for his adult countertenor voice is rather lush. The boy with the most glorious tone was his contemporary Steven Mockel, who sang 1st soprano in the Mozart duet Sub tuum praesidium, K198.

What are they singing? It sounds sort of Hawaiian.

Aber doch! Es singt der Max Emanuel Cencic, und der Kapellmeister war der Peter Marschik, ohne Zweifel !!This is certainly Max Emanuel Cencic, and the choirmaster is Peter Marschik.
