File sharing is NO more of a problem than mix-tapes, mix CDs, etc. The artists make their money at concerts anyway. They need to realize that file sharing gets their actual art into the hands of MILLIONS more than CD sales. In turn - we pay the $75 per ticket when they are playing slose to us. When I hear 50 has to sell ONE of his houses to pay the bills, then I'll say they aren't making money. File sharing actually works BETTER then radio.

Ever since P2P came along. Music quality has gone to shit. Especially Pop/Rock. Artists are making songs faster and faster to make more money faster. While songs they made 5 months ago are forgotten. Ex: Brittney spears "Hit me baby one more time" What happened to the good old days when people made music FOR the music and not the money. Those type of songs are NEVER forgotten.

Lol i seen so many artists supporting p2p. They say fuck riaa and mpaa download my shit cause they rip us all of. And MPAA and RIAA already lost the war on the copyright. They suck. I use it all the time and they dont send me leters :(. And this video is mis informing. Copyright laws like the usa has that negativly affect consumers do not exist in most countrys. It is not artists going after ppl it is mpaa. we beter of if holywood go fuk themself and die. Same with other media industrys.

I love using p2p to download and share music, movies, and applications. I stopped doing it for awhile, but after watching this video, I decided to start up again with more vigor than ever.

i dont see madonna or justin timberlake or 50 cent or miley cyrus starving and dying because of lack of money. P2P PROMOTES sales idiots!

there is a new peer-to-peer network called Global Herald Network that let people share information with peers all around the world. You can share opinions, ask questions, promote a product or service. Its new, and its awesome.

how to make money as an artist: share your files around the world for free. then when your name is out there(saying ppl like what you made) do live concerts...Most ppl have the perception that you can't make money unless you have cd's well the truth is that most profit is done by tours "yes to be a musician you hafta go from place to place to perform" Musicians are just angry cause p2p is taking away their free ride in life and giving working musicians(the ones that get out) the money.

A real scenario:I found a cool band on the net, downloaded their album, recommended it to friends. They liked it, recommended it further and the next time I heard a song of that group was in a club, and some guy comes up and asks "Hey you heard about that band?"The band doesn't sell CD's in stores here, but I know of 3 people who ordered their stuff online.THATS marketing!I don't know anyone who likes mainstream artists btw, so I don't f*ing care if they lack 1 million in their balance..
