it´s true , horowitz in my opinion is one of the few pianists that have a powerfull fortissimo and the softest pianissimo but musicaly played

I think that's a bit pessimistic...

To evoke one color convincingly at the piano as art already. Horowitz, as usual, gives us more here than we imagined was possible. Few can compare to Horowitz' tonal palette.

i wanna give tt granpa a hug! oh man. his hands are so nimble! he touches the keys with its feathers and cotton.. we normally hear this perfection from season pianists although the young prodigies are really good these days, they have different interpretation of a piece. whether its a young or seasoned sound=D

His ending to that piece was the greatest ending to any recorded piece of piano music in the last 100 years. Just miraculous!!

Manfred - I didn't say anything was wrong with the Nocturnes. My point was that perfectly good music can go out of vogue. Concerning the Nocturnes themselves - it seems to me that individual ones still get a hearing but most are not getting much play.
