No one really new if Prokofiev really was a true Communist or if he was just a dog of the state.

I guess it doesn't really matter if they're, as You described it - faithfull representatives of their country policies - or aren't. Only thing that matters is music they made. BTW. You can't always say wether they were pro komunism or not, becouse documents have been kept in secret for years. And even if they're reveled You can't tell if they're showing the truth.

Oh, I did not mean it that way, Russians and Swedish dont go along very well for traditional reasons, ok, maybe u can say for historical reasons, but still. You are right about everything you say,and I don´t let my view of the world be an obstacle when I enjoy good art. P.S. My favorite composer of all time is Tchaicovskij and when it comes to authors Ivan Turgenev is one of the favorites.Appreciated your reply.

You shouldn´t made a difference or deny art for political or historical reasons. The greatest russian composers were not faithfull representatives of their country policies (just by force) and most of them created a universal art, not just for their natives and diplomatic friends.P.S. Franz Berwald is great.

Muse used this song as intro song during their "Black Holes and Revelations" tour, just for your information.

Just magnificent. Really calming, haunting, just an amazing piece of art.
