People.. I would be thankfull to those of you who can provide me with some clarifications: once the shuttle entered the orbit it means it travels by approx. 17.000 miles/h, right? Then all those pitch maneuvers or flips are made at that incredible speed?? Or the docking to international space station?? No this can't be... or it can? In those movies with the space shuttle filmed from the station when it's shown travelling over pacific or europe etc... is it travelling at 17.000miles/h?? Thanks

With Russia becoming more and more hostile by the day, I can not understand why NASA has not abolished its plan to retire the shuttle. I am dead sure if NASA polls the feeling of the nation, an overwhelming majority will support the continuation of the shuttle - even in these tough economic times. The shuttle is old, but certainly not redundant.

Leave it to the women to go through her "purse" and let the $100K tool bag float into space . Just couldnt find that lipstick or text message phone eh ? Gee do you think theyell let her back into space ? They probably will...NASAs track record lately hasnt been to good . Next time shell probably back the shuttle into the space station . Bet she even tries honking the horn and yelling at the space station .
